What to expect in this course
In this course I take you through some basic concepts behind my lab reference book. I go through all three major rock types and how to use your knowledge in a basic lab setting.
I was going to require that you get the lab book. I decided against that. You can if you want. It is available here:
The lab book isn’t a teaching guide. It’s a reference book. That’s why I take you through an explanation of the more pertinent parts. I do not cover every single topic. Just ones I think will help you in the long run that I probably won’t address in other courses.
Attached is the file you will need that will help you for the quizzes. It will be the same one in every module.
The introduction has no quiz. The other modules do. There will be some basic maths that will help you to classify igneous rocks according to the generally accepted system.
You will have to pass with 70% or more. You get 25 times to pass each quiz.
