What to expect from this course

Welcome to one of the most important parts of structural geology. This course is a basic set of lecture modules explain stress, strain, and failure. These are often associated with engineering concepts but applied to the earth. It may seem counter intuitive that rocks can behave like fluids over time, but under confined compressive stresses, it’s completely reasonable.

This course is broken down into 4 modules. Modules 1 and 3 have no quiz. 2 and 4 do have quizzes. You must pass both quizzes to complete the course and you must receive 60% or better to pass. You also must watch 90% or more of each module.

Here are all four course modules. You must enroll first. Enrollment is at the bottom of the page.
